Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Bagdogra – Gangtok
Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport meet our representative, who will assist you to transfer to Gangtok. After reaching Gangtok, check-in the hotel. Take rest for a while in the hotel. Leisure for the day. You can visit the nearby place, enjoy the local food and shop in the local market, interact with people. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 2: Gangtok
Early in the morning after breakfast, proceed towards the Tashi Viewpoint. Tashi Viewpoint is set in the heart of panoramic scenic views. Mt. Kanchenjunga is clearly visible from this point. You can also view the Labrang and Phodong Monastery, which are located on the opposite hills. Later in the day visit the Orchid Sanctuary. You can find different and rare collection of orchids. The Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden is located at Rumtek Monastery and you will find unique plants, flowers and trees. Phodong Monastery is one of the important Monastary among the six important monasteries of Sikkim. Phodong Monastery was built by Chogyal Gyurmed Namgyal in the 18th century. At Nam Nang you can experience the panoramic view of the lush green and dense forest. At the serene area enjoy the ideal nature walk. You can also visit the Government Institute of Cottage Industry, you can find the local art and craft items. This institute is for the development of traditional arts and crafts of Sikkim. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 3: Gangtok – Khamdong
After breakfast, a drive to Rumtek Monastery. It is a 45 min drive from Gangtok. Rumtek is also known as the Dharma Chakra Centre. This Monastery is the largest monastery in Sikkim. It is located at an altitude of about 1547 mts.One more attraction of this monastery is green landscape,gentle weather and pleased local people. This is the main shrine Buddhist temple. Rumtek Monastery was built in the 16th century. You can enjoy trekking at Sang of Khamdong. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 4: Khamdong- Tarku
In the morning, you can start your journey for the wonderful trek experience to Tarku. It is located at 21 km from Gangtok.Tarku is famous for its tea garden. It produces one of the best teas in the world. You can view the beautiful views of the garden that is spread out on the moderate hills. You can also visit the Bon monastery and the black cardamom and rice fields. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 5: Tarku–Ravangla
Next day, you can set out for a trip to Ravangla Monastery.Ravagla is at an altitude of 7,000ft. You can view the Himalayan ranges from here and it is surrounded by hills with forest. This would be a good place for short trips and bird watching. You can see the people there are with hospitality, god fearing and divine minded. You can get close to the people and visit the monasteries. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 6: Ravangla–Legship
In the morning, proceed towards Legship. This is a small town besides the River Rangit in West Sikkim. The main attraction at Legship is the KirateshwarMahadevMandir. Visit the hot water springs, it has many medicinal properties. You can enjoy rafting, swimming at Rangit dam. Back to the camp and overnight stay in the camp.
Day 7: Legship - Pemayangtse
Next day morning a journey to Pemayangtse.Pemayangtse Monastery is at the height of 2085 mts and this is the second oldest monastery in Sikkim. The monastery is beautifully set on a hilltop.At the monastery you can find the religious idols and many priceless objects.You can have a look at the panoramic view of the area.Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 8: Pemayangtse–Yuksom
A journey to Yuksom.Yuksom is set between the natural hills and lakes.Yuksom was the first capital of Sikkim. This trip you can visit the DubdiGompa, this is the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. This was built in 1701. This village is the starting point for all the trips into West Sikkim like Goechala and Dzongri. Upon reaching, check-in and take rest for a while. In the leisure time you can enjoy the walk to the nearby places. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 9: Yuksom–Bakhim
After breakfast you can start the trip to Bakhim. Bakhim is at an altitude of 2800m.Bakhim is located at a distance of 16 kms from Yuksom. The area is encircled by the dense forest of rhododendron, orchids, ferns and magnolia. The panoramic view of the deep valleys, mountain ranges, river flowing nearby make the area more beautiful. Check in the hotel and rest for a while. Get explore to the nearby place in the leisure time. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Bakhim –Dzongri
Early in the morning journey to Dzongri. It is at the height of 4000 mts and located at the distance of 10 km. Towards Dzongir you need to climb really hilly all the way. All around the Dzongri the sights are of frosted white peaks. The main attraction at Dzongri is the Mt. Kanchenjunga.Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 11: Dzongri
Next day is leisure, spend the day to relax and enjoy the nature. You can enjoy the walk along a hilly pathof the nature at the Dzongri top view point. It would take just 45 min walk. Early morning walk at the view point would be better. You can also enjoy the view of sunrise and the glittering snow peaks of Mt. Kabru, Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Pandim.Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 12: Dzongir – Yuksom
Next day, you can start your journey back to Yuksom. Set out and enjoy the snow capped mountains, panoramic beauty of the place, interact with the local, enjoy the delicious food. In the evening back to the camp and overnight stay in the camp.
Day 13: Yuksom - Darjeeling
After breakfast start you journey towards Darjeeling. One of the most beautiful hill resorts in the world is Darjeeling. You can enjoy the snow capped peaks, the panoramic beauty of the land, the green hilly steeps. Have a chat with the locals and enjoy the local food. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 14: Darjeeling
Next day early in the morning, proceed towards the Tiger Hill, this is the highest point in the Darjeeling area. You can view the sunrise of the Kanchenjunga and the snow capped peaks. On the way you can visit the Ghoom Monastery. This Monastery was established in 1875 by GhoomGompa. One need to visit the Peace Pagoda, it was built under the supervision of NichidatsuFujji. At the Peace Pagoda you will find the four avatars of Lord Budda. Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, this was built in 1959 for the rehabilitation of Tibetans. Later in the day is to tour the city. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(HMI), it is built in the memorial to Tenzing. HMI is the oldest mountaineering institutes in the country. You can also take part in the Darjeeling Ropeway. You can view the breathtaking view of the valley below. Visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoo, is a different Zoo. This Zoo is located at an altitude of 2133 mts above the sea level. You can find the Black Bear, llama, Siberian Tiger, mountain leopard and many more. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 15: Darjeeling – Bagdogra– Delhi
Next day, get transferred to Bagdora Airport to board the flight to Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi, continue your onward journey.
